The Bible commands God’s Israelites to abstain from tattooing.  This law provided an outer consecration.  And the purity that foretold Christ’s inner anointing.

Christians can get a tattoo that symbolizes forgiveness and peace.  While it may be less significant.  Or striking as traditional religious designs.  It still holds significance to them.
